FTH creates and publishes their own curriculum and training materials, including interactive workbooks and culturally responsive guide books and classroom wall art.
Dr. Walter Milton, Jr.
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Walter Milton, Jr. is a native of Rochester, New York. He earned a B.A. from the University of Albany and an M.S. from SUNY College at Brockport. He took postgraduate courses at the University of Rochester to receive his administrative certifications, including his superintendent’s license. Dr. Milton has also taught at several universities across the United States. He holds a Doctorate degree in leadership and policy from the University of Buffalo. He is also a published author of Me in the Making – One Man’s Journey to Becoming a School Superintendent, (2008) and Why Black Men Must Save Black Boys in America’s Public Schools (2014). He served as a school superintendent for twelve years, in the states of New York, Michigan, and Illinois. Dr. Milton is currently CEO of From the Heart International Educational Services.
Lisa Petros, MBA
Vice President of Finance
Ms. Petros attended Loyola University in New Orleans, LA where she majored in Marketing and Management. She received an MBA from Fontbonne University, Lisa was very active in community service, joined a business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi and became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; in the Fall of 1989. Ms. Petros really loves DST! Lisa has worked at prestigious organizations including Darcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Southwestern Bell, Junior Achievement (JA), and Louis Partners AmeriCorps, a domestic version of the Peace Corps.
Lisa served as the Director of Education at Mathews Dickey Boys and Girls Club.
Ms. Petros is a loving wife and mother of four beautiful children. She is also the
proud CEO of One-L Group, which is a new, innovative publishing firm, which offers opportunities in the realm of consultation around organizational development, financial management and professional editing.
Dr. Marge Williams

Dr. Marjorie (Marj) Williams has more the 40 years of experience in the field of Education. Williams serves as a team member for From The Heart International, providing intensive training, program facilitation, and educational management services from a culturally competent context. She currently serves on various Community and Civic Boards throughout the country. She has received notable recognitions throughout the country, most recently being named by Ingram’s Magazine as “One of the 50 People You Need To Know In The State of Missouri”, Williams is Co-Founder of the Sisters’ Circle GKC, which promotes Philanthropy among African American Women supporting the African American Community. Additionally, Dr. Marj is a founding member of Societas Docta, Incorporated GKC. Their mission is to provide assistance by mentoring and providing scholarships to African American Women pursuing Doctorate Degrees.
Dr. Marj can be heard on the “PTK (Parents, Teachers, Kids) Report with Dr. Marj” weekly on KPRT 1590am/106.1fm. Additionally, she can be seen on the “Dr. Marj Show” and “On That Note with Mike, India and Dr. Marj” on the Internet and via Facebook.
Caroline Ross, M.Ed.

Caroline is committed to transforming educators and preparing leaders to be the best they can be for their K-12 students. With more than 30 years of experience, Caroline is an award-winning secondary principal, adjunct professor, and educational consultant. Adept at assessing educational needs, generating options and implementing solutions in collaboration with all stakeholders, she facilitates professional learning communities and provides workshops and training on topics such as creating a positive classroom culture, lesson planning, and content-specific teaching practices, relationship building, time and task management, organization and general preparation. Caroline has experience working with diverse populations of traditional and nontraditional students in urban settings and she is widely known for restructuring struggling schools and organizational systems. Caroline is also fluent in Spanish.
Char & Sam McNabb

Wilma “Char” & Sam McNabb are the parents of NFL great and Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb. Wilma & Sam are also the founders of McNabb Consulting Network, LLC (MCN), they feel blessed to have experienced over 40 years of life and sports parenting by seeing both of their sons participate in several sports and at various levels of athletics. McNabb Consulting Network, LLC. (MCN) was created in 2013 to provide a service to assist the parents of athletes at all levels to understand their roles in their athletic endeavors.
​Dr. Jewell Winn
Director, FTH Foundation
Dr. Jewell Green Winn has over thirty years of experience in education and serves Tennessee State University as Senior International Officer, Executive Director for International Programs, Deputy Chief Diversity Officer and Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership. Dr. Winn completed the Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Middle Tennessee State University, Masters of Public Administration and Doctorate of Education degrees at Tennessee State University. She is a member of several professional and social organizations such as the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education, Women in Higher Education in Tennessee, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is a graduate of Leadership Nashville, the Maxine Smith Fellows Program, the Millennium Leadership Institute and the American Council on Education’s Spectrum Executive Leadership Program. She is the Executive Director of From the Heart International Education Foundation.
